Find and choose TWO media articles (from a newspaper or magazine, or a reputable website article) relevant to demonstrating knowledge of a Business Ethics issue. Each article must be at least 200 words in length and should NOT be academic journal articles. It is recommended that you have your articles approved by the lecturer before you begin the assessment. The articles must be related to issues of a business ethics nature, such as unethical behaviour by an individual or an organisation, or other issues that have been covered in the Subject. 

For each article, write 750-1000 words to: 

  • Present the title, media source, URL and date of the article. 
  • Provide an overview of the article contents and the identified ethical issues.
  • Analyse ONE issue with theories presented in AT1 to discuss why the event occurred, factors which contributed, and the consequences. 
  • Describe the stakeholders impacted now and in the future by the issue. Focus on positive and negative impacts.  
  • Please use the structure provided on Canvas. 

Assignment Structure

Media Article 1 (1000 words)

  • Present the article title, media source, URL and date of the article. Note it must be published after 1 June 2021.
  • Use the heading ‘Overview’ and provide an overview of the article contents and the identified ethical issues.
  • Use the heading ‘Analysis’ and analyse ONE issue with theories presented in the Subject materials to discuss why the event occurred, factors which contributed and the consequences.
  • Use the heading ‘Stakeholders’ and describe the stakeholders impacted now and in the future by the issue. Focus on positive and negative impacts.
