Identify any ONE idea or topic discussed during LCE 2 and explain how it can help Singapore to meet your chosen UNSDGs (choose one from the seventeen SDGs here: https://sdgs.un.org/goals).

*Up to 2 class engagement marks will be given if a draft response is posted within 48hrs of LCE 2. Draft response can be edited or changed for 2 Nov final submission.

Task 3 (max 250 words) (22 marks)

Identify any ONE idea or topic discussed during LCE 3 and explain its present and future impact on the neighbourhood you are examining for your Group-Based Assignment (GBA).

*Up to 2 class engagement marks will be given if a draft response is posted within 48hrs of LCE 3. Draft response can be edited or changed for 2 Nov final submission.
Task 4 GBA Reflection (max 500 words) (34 marks)

In your GBA reflection, you should:

• Identify, with evidence, ONE strength and ONE weakness in your group.
• Self-Assessment: Assess, with evidence, your contribution (what was done, strengths, and areas to improve on) to the GBA, and discuss what you may do differently to enhance your group dynamic.
• Peer Assessment: Assess, with evidence, the contributions (what was done, strengths, and area to improve on) of each of your GBA members and share what could have been done differently—either by yourself, your group members, or the group as a collective—to enhance the overall GBA experience.
• Explain if your initial assumptions about community have changed after working with your group and reflect on the application possibilities of any knowledge from NCO101 for your degree/major or vocation.

Topic Discussed in LCE1

There are so many ideas discussed in LCE1 but the one that is selected for analysis is community resilience. The concept of community excellence is all about helping others in the community during crisis situations, and I have applied it in my neighbourhood, especially doing Covid 19 by organising food distribution and mental wellness sessions for the people in the community.

Topic Discussed in LCE2

The concept that we have explored in LCE2 is sustainable urban living which is highly promoted in UNSDG11 – sustainable cities and communities. The focus has been to make Singapore an environmentally responsible country by undertaking initiatives  like green buildings, efficient public transport and waste reduction programmes.

Topic Discussed in LCE3

In LCE3, the topic considered for discussion is social inclusion which requires promoting equal opportunities and shared spaces for all residents. By considering digital inclusion programs, community centres can make sure that everyone gets benefited from Singapore’s Smart City Development.

GBA Reflection

The main strength point of our group is its strong communication and collaboration among the members which allowed us to complete the task on time. Despite having a strong point, the weakness identified is the inappropriate distribution of work which leads to extra efforts on the part of some of the members while others contributed less. Overall the discussion within the community has significantly influenced my approach towards the community, and I will be taking initiatives in the form of shared responsibility in future projects.
