Design a pamphlet, flyer, or handout that includes the key teaching points listed below. You will use this pamphlet as part of your patient education during the oxygen administration skill.

Key Teaching Points to Include

1. Tubing Safety

· Keep oxygen tubing out of walkways to prevent tripping hazards.

· Check tubing regularly for kinks or cracks.

2. Fire Safety

· No smoking near oxygen!

· Keep oxygen away from candles, open flames, or heat sources (like gas stoves).

· Post “Oxygen in Use – No Smoking” signs in visible areas.

3. Skin Care

· Assess skin behind the ears and on the cheeks daily for redness or irritation.

· Use padding or protective covers on tubing if needed.

4. Flow Rate

· Do not adjust the flow meter rate unless instructed by a healthcare provider.

· Always check that the flow rate is set correctly before use.
