This self-directed simulation activity is designed
to help students apply knowledge of psychiatric
nursing care within an acute psychiatric setting.
Through randomized client profiles, students
will create a dynamic nursing care plan focusing
on therapeutic interactions, safety,
rehabilitation, and discharge planning.
Assignment Objective
The purpose of this assignment is to develop
critical thinking, therapeutic communication
skills, and care planning abilities in a simulated
psychiatric milieu. Students will assess clients,
plan care, evaluate safety, and justify discharge
decisions based on observed progress.
