Assessment details

Follow these steps to complete your assessment.

Step 1: Review the relevant learning

You are encouraged to review relevant learning materials as a first step in beginning this assessment. Module 2: Emerging health issues and Module 3: Globalisation shaping health in policy may help you to outline the social, cultural, and other non-medical issues that influence the causation of your chosen health problem in its country/region. Module 8: Policy, practice and addressing social determinants may be useful as you work to identify the types of primary and public health approaches that are being used to manage the health problem you have identified and develop recommendations for policy, practice and interventions to effectively respond to that public health issue.

Step 2: Select a health problem

Select a health problem in a country or region of your choice, not where you are currently living. You will complete your assessment based on this health problem/region. If you are finding it challenging to choose a health problem/region, you are encouraged to watch/access SBS News (2022) as it regularly broadcasts news stories from around the world.
