Individual Contribution to Discussion Board & Reflective Summary (3000 words)

Overview of task: You are required to research, write, and post contributions to the class discussion board in the first four weeks of the module from this (recommended 2 topics x 1000 words = 2000 words) on the weekly New Trends in Management topics. A 1,000-word self-reflective summary must follow the contribution on the discussion board. There are two main facets to this assessment:

  • Weekly Contribution to the Discussion Board (2x 1000-word post (2000 words)
  • Reflective Summary (1000 words)

Component 2 

Seminar Co-ordination (15-25 minutes)

You will work together in groups to research, design and manage/facilitate a 15-25 minute ‘seminar’ around a new trend in management.

  1. Group size: 3-5 members.
  2. Time guidance: 5 minutes per student in a group.
  3. The session you plan for should be 50-60 minutes long, but the presentation will be between 15-25 minutes long depending on the numbers in your group.
  4. You will upload your presentation slides along with appendices individually.
  5. Each team will give the evidence of your teamwork to your lecture, which includes your contributions, and any additional artefacts (such as handouts, or other instructional materials and tools) that would aid the delivery of the session. (Team Evidence Form).
