Company Overview

You are tasked with developing an expansion strategy for a company/Business of your choice. The company/Business aims to explore new opportunities, promotes and launch its new range of products/services in international Market (specifically European market). Furthermore, the company/Business wants to increase its profits, focusing on sustainable practices, eco-friendly materials and local sourcing to meet the growing demand for organic and ethically produced products.  You are required to outline the marketing activities, budgets, and implementation to support the company’s market entry strategies. Currently the company has a limited or no presence in some European countries

Project Requirements:

1.Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on your chosen international Market (specifically European market). Analyse the marketing environmental factors using SWOT: The opportunities and threat factors of SWOT will address the economic, cultural, legal, and political factors that could impact the business’s entry strategy. You should also identify key competitors, market demand, and potential barriers to entry.

2.Strategy Development: Based on your research, propose a comprehensive business strategy for market entry. Consider various international business strategies, including joint ventures, franchising, licensing, Alliances or direct investment, and recommend the most suitable approach.

3.Business Problem Analysis: Utilize case studies and theoretical models to analyse potential challenges the company might face, such as supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance, or competition. Develop actionable solutions to these problems, ensuring they are grounded in sound business principles.

4.Reflection: Reflect on your learning throughout the project (Components 1 & 2). Consider how your understanding of international business has evolved and assess your contributions to the project’s success.

Deliverables and breakdown of assignment:

  • A comprehensive market entry strategy report (750 words).
  • An Academic poster of 250 words presentation summarizing your findings and recommendations.
  • A reflective essay (500 words) detailing your learning journey and project contributions.

This project offers you the opportunity to engage directly with the complexities of international business in the dynamic and fast-growing international Market (specifically European market). Your ability to research, analyse, and strategize will be key to proposing viable solutions that could be implemented by the company in a real-world context.
